Dear Friends and Neighbors,

A few short weeks ago my neighbors started urging me to seek the office of Mayor after learning that our current mayor is not seeking re-election. After discussion with my family I decided to accept this challenge.

Being elected seven times as state representative I have sought to create effective change on important issues such as education, jobs and health care. I am hopeful that I can bring my experience and passion to build our prosperous future together in Maplewood.

I am committed to putting our Maplewood residents first, creating a proud Maplewood. Recently I was appointed to the Parks and Recreation Commission and I am a strong supporter of preserving and protecting our parks and recreation system. I want to keep our high quality police, fire and services our citizens expect and I want to help jobs grow and thrive in our city. Most of all I want to provide positive, professional leadership and move our city towards a responsible future.

I am committed to fairness, opportunity and putting our Maplewood residents first, bringing strong, reasonable leadership to our City Council.

Thank you for your support!
